Tour Booking

If you would like to know more about PHPS, we invite you to take a tour of our preschool.   To make an appointment, please email: info@phps.nsw.edu.au or call: 98752901.   The best time for teachers and children is between 10 am to 12 pm.  

Enrolling and Waitlist

After the visit, should you wish to enrol, you may submit the Enrolment Form.  Please indicate on the enrolment application your preferred day of attendance and if you are flexible on the days, plus your earliest and latest plan start date. If we are unable to offer you a place for your required start date, you can be placed on the waitlist.  Enrolments are open all year round with most vacancies occurring at the beginning of the year as children move on to primary school.  So if possible, plan to enroll for the beginning of the year start. There is no charge to be on the waiting list and to confirm enrolments, a payment of $150 fee is payable.  To ensure the days you require are available, we recommend enquiring at least 6 to 12 months in advance.

Orientation and playgroup sessions

Prior to starting, we offer a free orientation day for families to be familiarised with the services and to meet the teachers.   Orientation is normally conducted between 10 am and 12:30 pm (just after lunch) and parents are welcome to stay.  To assist younger toddlers and first-time preschoolers with any separation anxieties, we recommend families make use of the short playgroup sessions in the weeks prior to commencing full day or consider slowly building up the hours as the relationship between your child-teacher and other children develops.  Although most children are quite resilient and will eventually overcome any temporary separation anxieties, planning ahead will help provide a smoother and happier transition to daycare.

2024   Term Fees 

Long daycare   (Preschool room 3.5+yr old: $128 per day. Toddler room 2+yr old: $139 per day, under 2yr old $145 per day)

For our working parents, our long day care provides nurturing child care immersed in rich learning activities from 7:30am to 6:00pm for children ages 12months to 5 years.  Fees includes all school readiness materials, all tablet app programs and devices, professional individual and class yearly photos, enrichment programs activity and equipment hire cost (soccer in/excursions, learning to bike ride), concerts performances, and all incursions shows (Magic shows, wildlife shows, inhouse egg hatching program), and most excursions entry fees and travel cost, as well as our complimentary family zoo passes. 

 

Pre-School Hour Care  ($115 per day)

Pre-school hour care rate is open from 9:00am to 3:00pm for children over 3.5yr old. Ideal for children who are going to school the following year to attend our School Readiness and Enrichment Programs.   There is a limit of 2 days max of care and is most suitable for families who are flexible on the days of care.  Enrolments are normally placed from the beginning of the year, and as places are dependent on primary long daycare placings, there are only limited places.   


Vacation Care  ($115 / $128 per day)

We extend our long daycare services to parents with school-age children, during school holidays.  Priority goes towards our existing families with siblings at our service or children having attended our service in the past.  Normally suitable for children in year K-2 only and is a great opportunity for children to be with their older siblings some days over the school holidays.    Spaces are limited and confirmation of availability is made only 1-2 weeks leading up to the school holidays. 


Casual Play Group and Occasional Care   Preschool room 3.5+yr old: from $30/hr.  Toddler room 12+mth: from $35/hr.  

Casual playgroup is a great way to gradually introduce daycare to children. Normally the best time for a play session is between 9am and 12:30pm.  Minimum 2 hour up to 3 hour.  Occasional care is primarily suitable for preschool-age children or children who are familiar with and are happy to be in a preschool setting whilst parents are away.  For first time care, short hour care is also a great way for your child to get to know the preschool setting.    Confirmation of availability is given no longer than 2 weeks in advance and last minute availability can be made the day before. We are pleased to assist families in the community in caring for children in the early years, even for a day or a couple of hours a day.      

Fee assistance

PHPS is an approved long daycare service for government Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and Additional Child Care Subsidy (ACCS) fee reduction.  Most families in the new CCS will receive a 50% or more reduction in their fees.  To find out more, and to estimate what your new subsidy might be, visit:  www.servicesaustralia.gov.au - Child Care Subsidy.  There is also a discount for families with multiple children under 6 years, for more information visit  Higher Childcare Subsidy.  The NSW Government has also introduced the Start Strong yearly preschool fee relief of $2110 for 4+ year old children and $500 for 3 year old children in the long day care preschool setting.

We open 50 weeks of the year, with a schedule shut down on the last week of December and the first week of January.  No fees are charged over this period.  Besides these two weeks, the centre is closed on weekends and public holidays.  For more details on enrolment please refer to our General Information and Policies.
